2nd WASTE AND RECYCLING FORUM * WEDNESDAY JULY 10 6:30 pm * PATTERSON PARK, 521 MERCURY BLVD., MURFREESBORO
The original plan was to conduct forums every 90 days in each of Rutherford County’s municipalities, with the second one being held in Smyrna. The original date was changed from the 9th to the 10th to avoid a conflict with Smyrna’s city council meeting. However, Mayor Mary Ester Reed recused herself and refused to wave the rental fee for any community facility (Event Center, Train Depot, etc.), thus the decision was made to conduct the meeting at Patterson Park again. We hope this is not too much of an inconvenience for those Smyrna residents who want to attend. The waste being generated in our community is negatively affecting us all.
